Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Determine job requirements
  2. Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
  3. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
  4. Identify job requirements from specifications, drawings, job sheets or work instructions
  5. Inspect and prepare the installation site
  6. Report non-compliance with specification to appropriate authority
  7. Undertake alteration and correction with approval of appropriate authority
  8. Prepare all surfaces, materials and components for use
  9. Install machinery/ plant and equipment
  10. Prepare machine/equipment components for correct sequential installation
  11. Install machinery/plant or equipment in accordance with manufacturer and site specifications
  12. Undertake routine modification/alterations to operating procedures, where required
  13. Level, align, connect machine/equipment or couple, where required (excluding electrical connections)
  14. Clean site and clear all debris and leave in safe state
